WORDS

WORDS

Your words have incredible power!

We get so caught up in our problems that we forget to come boldly to God’s throne of grace.  James does emphasize the negative.  “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.”  James 3:6 (NKJV) These words are true.  But Satan will try to use them to discourage you.

Scripture also emphasizes: Speak Life!  “So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:12-13 (NKJV)  And: “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”  2 Cor 4:6 (NKJV)

With your words, you set into motion the direction your life will go.

That’s why it is so important for us to get in agreement with God and speak the goodness, favor and blessing of God over our lives.  We say: “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.”  Jesus said: “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.” Matt 12:35 (NKJV)  When you speak words of faith and promise into your life (and into the life of others), you are actually calling out the potential which God has placed inside you.

Your words have the power to propel you into your destiny.

So many times, people focus only on the negative things in life. They don’t realize that they have incredible gifts, potential and talents lying dormant, just waiting to be called into action. Speaking negative words is like dropping an anchor right where you are.  But when you begin to declare the blessings and favor of Almighty God, you’re pulling up that anchor and hoisting your sails. You’re positioning yourself to catch the winds of God’s favor.

Today, it’s time to declare, “I am a strong, equipped, empowered, anointed child of the Most High God. I’m not second-class. I’m not ordinary. I’ve been handpicked by the Creator of the universe. I have great things in my future!”  [compare:
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”  Rev 1:5-6 (NKJV)

When you speak life-changing words, the winds begin to shift in your direction. God fills those sails of faith and sets you on a greater course than you could have ever imagined.  [Do you think your faith is weak?  One father spoke to Jesus.  “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.”  Mark 9:24   Even when we have doubts, this does not mean we have no faith.  God can and will increase our faith – if we but ask.]

Sometimes, it only takes one word — one encouragement — to ignite the greatness on the inside of you.

It’s time to put your shoulders back and begin to declare what God says about you is true.

Today is your day to get in agreement with God and declare that you are who Almighty God says you are.

Tap into the power of God’s promises. Declare His goodness! Speak life into your situation today. When you do, you’ll be amazed at where God takes you.  And where you will be five years from now can be seen in what you are saying today.
